I won't be writing a long detailed article like Brendan, but I will say.

Case closed. Fedor is a done deal and washed up along with M-1 Global.

Check please. Fuck Fedor.

James, this looks to be a bit baffling to my perception. A 6 fight contract worth 30 million dollars plus added ppv cut??? Wow, not only is this outrageous in my eyes, it is absurd. No fighter, let alone sports player should be worth this much. Basically, Fedor would most likely fight 2 times a year with net earnings of nearly 13-15 million. What the fu** has the world of sports come to?

Step aside from MMA, lets look at the deal the New York Yankees offered CC sabathia. 7 years, 161 MILLION dollars. Hello sports world, are any sports players playing for the love of their sports anymore or are we FANS, OWNERS, RECRUITERS, ETC corrupting their minds with incentives on MONEY???

I do not agree with the concept of Dana going overboard to acquire one fighter for a salary worth almost the whole heavyweight division of one year. As I mentioned, no MMA fighter is worth this much yet. Perhaps when the sport becomes the number one watched sport in the world, than yes some fighters might deserve an amount close to this, but right now and for a fighter who has no "real" recognition of fighting any top prospects, Dana you are not reeping any benefits from offering Fedor a contract like this.

With that said, I do not believe Fedor is in this sport for the money in the first place. Nor is he in it for the fame. He is one of the few people out their that put 100% effort in for the love of their sport. I think Dana needs to approach Fedor with a more simplistic/inquisitive style. In other words, Dana your perogatives are scattered right now. You are trying to BUY a fighter instead of EARNING a fighter. Respect/Relationships go farther than money does in my perspective. Perhaps forming a relationship with Fedor might help seal the deal on acquiring him to join the UFC. Drop the arrogant, cocky, suavy, big bad CEO deal and talk to Fedor man to man and come to a compromise. However though, DO NOT CO-PROMOTE with the idiots. If they continue to insist to be stubborn, than not only will they not reep any benefits, the rise of their M-1 logo will decline rapidly and eventually disperse into dust. Yes, other companies will pick Fedor up, but he will continue to lack that "worlds best pound for pound" fighter in many eyes.

So to wrap this bad boy up, M-1... UFC is not going to whipe your ass to acquire your ASSET. Fedor is ONE fighter. ONE player does not make a team nor will ONE fighter make a company. If we were to watch Fedor fight every event, how exciting would that be?? For the first few fights, it would be great. However after this, our anxiety would deterioate more and more with each event. So, overall, M-1 you need to re-assess your stubborn wants and Dana you need to step aside from the aggressive approach and come to your senses that Fedor WANTS something you are not offering!
