Earlier today Fighters.com announced that the UFC 109 Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort Title Match was Agreed to between the two fighters, Silva currently holds the Middleweight Championship title. Vitor Belfort will be in action for the second time since defeating Rich “Ace” Franklin in his UFC return, if everything goes as planned with Anderson Silva’s elbow surgery recovery this would be Silva’s first fight since destroying Forrest Griffin.
Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort were originally suppose to meet for the title at UFC 108, the fight had to be rescheduled due to Silva’s elbow recovering slower than originally anticipated.
I am pretty excited about another UFC fight card that features a title defense as the main event, I know I say it all the time but I really hate it when main event’s are not title defenses. :fight: It would be awesome for Vitor to finish his career with one more championship belt. The only problem is he’s gotta face the one of the greatest cage fighters of all time, which is a talllll task. If there is any chance he’s gonna win he’s gotta have another one of his highlight knockouts! :fight:
