The UFC 106 fighter salaries have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and the total disclosed fighter payroll was $1,021,000. Main event fighters Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin were the highest paid fighters on the card.
The big winner was Josh Koscheck, who is on my top 10 list of most hated fighters. Josh score a huge paycheck when he choked out Anthony Johnson in the second round of UFC 106. He earned fight of the night and submission of the night. Josh made $140,000 in bonuses, plus his $106,000 fighter salary.
Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter pays its fighters does not have to be disclosed to the athletic commissions. Pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses or money from sponsors are not included in the figures below.

Pretty amazing to think that Griffin beat Ortiz and made the same as Ortiz did, or better yet consider that fact that Tito never did anything in the last 3 years and walks in and makes the same as Forrest…. for losing.

Forrest would have only made $125,000 if he had lost. Tito made $250,000 just for showing up. I think it’s time for Forrest to re-up his contract.
