OK fight fan here we go! UFC 103 FRANKLIN vs BELFORT is Saturday, September 19th, live on Pay-Per-View from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

This fight card is fully loaded and we get to welcome back Vitor Belfort to the octagon. People were very hesitant to buy the UFC  102 because they thought is was going to be very boring, boy were they wrong. UFC 102 was one of the most exciting fight cards is some time. Several highlight reel knock outs and the show that Randy and Big Nog put on was awesome. UFC 103 has all the ingredients to be a incredible night of fights and possibly be one of the best fight cards of the year. There is a lot of action so let get to it.

I am extremely excited to see Vitor Belfort back in the Octagon. They are not planing an making his return easy with his first fight against Franklin. Rich changed up his training and coaches and looked very good against Wanderlia Silva. I hope he keeps it up because he will need if he plans on beating Vitor. Vitor is on a 4 fight win streak and his last fight was  Matt Linland which ended with a first round KO. I am so torn between these two I like them both.

My pick: Rich”Ace”Franklin

junior
Junior Dos Santos

8-1-0

Cro Cop the man with the most deadly leg kicks in all MMA, fighting the Brazilian knock out artist Santos. This fight is going to be huge and have you sitting on the edge of your couch. Everyone knows Cro Cop’s first time in the UFC was not very good, but now he’s back with something to prove. He destroyed Al Turk at UFC 99 in just over 3 minutes into the first round. Santos has only one loss and has never had a fight last more than one round. His last two fights he won by TKO in under 2 minutes of the first round. I love a fight like this because someone is going to get knocked the @#$% out. (Knock out of the night)

My pick: Mirko Cro Cop

josh
Josh Koscheck

14-4-0

frank trigg
Frank Trigg

5′ 8″

15-2-0

Anyone who has ever read an MMA Punk prediction before knows I hate Koscheck and have since TUF. I loved it when Paulo Thiago knocked him out in the first round at UFC 95. Don’t get me wrong Koscheck can fight and has some impressive wins in the UFC, but Frank Trigg has been around for a long time and has fought the who’s who of MMA. Frank is on a four fight win streak and his last 3 fights all went 3 rounds. I am wonder if Frank’s age is a factor in this fight, at 36 can he handle the younger speed and power of Koscheck? Koscheck has a shot at winning this fight but I am going with age and experience.

My pick: Frank Trigg

swick
Mike Swick

6′ 1″

170

14-2-0

Martin
Martin Kampmann

6′ 0″

170

15-2-0

Ah my boy Mike Swick one of the nicest guys in all of MMA. We were lucky enough to get a exclusive with Mike back at UFC 99. Mike has been doing very well and is on a 4 fight win streak and his last two fights have been by TKO. This should be a great match up between these two. Kampman has only lost one fight since 2004 and that was against Nate Marquardt and has some very impressive wins over bad asses like Carlos Condit, Drew McFrdries and Thales Leiles. Kampman also trains out of Extreme Couture so that always helps to have Randy in your corner. This could possibly be fight of the night.

My pick: Mike Swick

tyson
Tyson Griffin

5′ 6″

155

13-2-0

hermes
Hermes Franca

5′ 6″

155

20-7-0

Just when you though it couldn’t get any better, we get Griffin versus Franca. This has fireworks written all over it.  Tyson has only two losses in his MMA  career and they were by greats Sean Sherk and Frankie Edgar. Tyson also has some very impressive wins on his record  like Clay Guida and Urijah Faber. Franca has his work cut of for him stepping in the octagon with Tyson. Make no mistake Franca has an impressive record, he also has lost to Sherk and Edgar and has wins over Nate Diaz, Jamie Varner and Spencer Fisher. This is a great match up and This will be fight of the night. These guys are going to stand in he octagon and bang.

MY pick: Tyson Griffin

The under card

Efrain Escudero  (12-0-0) vs Cole Miller  (15-3-0)

MY pick :Cole Miller

Jim Miller  (14-2-0) vs Thiago Tavares  ( 18-3-0)

Nice, wow you beat me to this one brother! Nice work.

All though as much as I would like to see Frank Trigg pull one out, Kos is going to tear him up. :) I know you hate Kos though, rest of the picks are great.

Who do you have in that Griffin fight?
