Ortiz vs Griffin at UFC 106

by James on October 9, 2009 88 views to the Head

People have been talking about who might replace injured Mark Coleman at UFC 106. Well the word is in and Forrest has stepped up and taken the fight. This will be the second time these two have battled in the octagon. The first fight was at UFC  59 where Tito pull out a split decision win over Forrest.

Tito has been out for almost 18 months and the last time he was in the Octagon was at UFC 85 where he lost in decision to Lyoto Machida. The Question is has the time off hurt Tito and will he have ring rust? If you don’t know I have no love loss with Tito he made #9 on my top 10 most hated MMA fighter.

I am worried about Forrest and him mental state. The loss to Anderson Silva really messed him up. Forrest does not seem like himself in his first interview since the Silva fight he acted very strange and has continued to act that way. I am wondering if Anderson stole Forrest’s soul and can Forrest come back from that?

All I want is to see Forrest kick Tito ass because he deserve it. Tito is a arrogant, self centered prick and needs his ass whipped. I just hope Forrest is ready for a war because Tito says he is healthy and ready to fight. Tito has a lot to prove coming back into the UFC and Forrest needs a win to get his career back on track. Who do think will win? leave a comment and let me know.

Despite Ortiz’s time away and Griffin’s recent setback, this fight could headline almost any card. I’m rooting for Griffin, but I’m concerned too. If he doesn’t win this one, his career may be in jeopardy. Speaking of Anderson Silva, do you think he’ll be able to pick off more 205-pounders if he tries? I don’t see any stopping that dude.

I don’t see Anderson getting beat anytime soon. He is just on another level like Lyoto machida. Being team mates they will never fight but one can hope.

This will be a battle of talent vs heart. Forest should be able to pull of a win and get back on track .
