Herschel Walker will step in the cage for the first time at Strikeforce Miami against Greg Nagy. Herschel had a very impressive career as a football player, now he want to try MMA at the age of 47. I am not a Herschel Walker fan but if he pulls off a impressive win against Nagy I will give him mad props. In the video we can see Hershel in a open workout, he looks in shape and he can move very well for age 47. His true test will be this Saturday night live at Strikeforce Miami.

It will be interesting. could he have done this 8 years ago and been a hit, maybe. MMA fighters are so well rounded, it will be tough. We’ve seen other football players like Too Tall Jones and Gasteneau have modest success as boxers, can a 47 year old jump right in? I’d like to see his entire training session.

too old, too slow and too un-experienced… gonna be a rude awakening for hersal walker. itd be nice to see him pull out a win but i cant see it happening
