Ahhhhhhhhhh. The Fedor fans are a little burnt on this page. I dont think they realize that the best fighters are in the UFC. Lets say a an NFL team could play exclusively against teams in a lesser league maybe the AFL or CFL still make good money and keep a great record and still compete for the Super Bowl, Of course they would do it, but that wouldn’t make them better than the teams in the NFL playing an NFL schedule who didn’t make the Super Bowl.It would only prove they can beat shitty teams, not shitty compared to other CFL or AFL teams but to the elite NFL teams. Thats like getting a soccer team from the Uafa champions league to play an MLS team. Sure MLS players are “proffessionals” just not the elite. Understand TOKS1,Shez ,RS and nocsu dumbasses, hey you guys should get a job being dumbasses you sound like you’d be great. Every one knows that theres a “whole fight world out there” but theres only one Major league in every sport! Sorry to tell ya boys but the UFC is it in fighting. Stop crying and go suck an egg. If Fedor wants props from men that like fighting and not just hype he should get out of the farm leagues and join THE SHOW! -out-

Shez my point is while Fedor has been training for years full time Rogers was working full time and taking care of his family . Then when he had time he would train So Thats a huge advantage over an opponent. Thank for thr comment.

I do feel that most of you are being disrespectful to Rogers. How experienced was Broke Lesnar when he got the fight against Randy Couture? Had he not won that fight you could easily have argued that Couture was being given an easy match. Lesnar’s job before the UFC contract was being a clown!

I sincerely believe Fedor’s main focus when deciding against UFC was to remain in control or at least having a say in his own career. A few UFC fighters have come out recently complaining about not having much or no say in their own fight schedule, most recently Rampage.

I agree with Rommel, there is a whole world outside UFC. I love watching UFC but it’s not the only competion around worthy of our respect. I remember seeing Dana White visiting Pride and he was blown away by it all, all through the event you could see he was stunned by the experience. I, in general, believe competition between multiple organisations is good for all of us. Strikeforce signing a name like Fedor will give them ammunition for more interesting signings, hopefully some heavy challengers for Fedor.

so ur point is … that people who fight professionally … cannot do anything else??? or one who changes tires cannot be a good fighter?? U r totally dissing a fighter here, utter shame on that.
And talking about money … ufcbios.com states this on randy couture’s bio : ” Randy recently stated plans of severing all ties with the UFC after learning that Chuck Liddell was being paid more than he was to fight.”. The natural himself was all about the money back then. I love djing but i work somewhere else because i get paid more. Everyone is a little selfish when the money is involved. So I would say, people log on these(MMA) websites to learn something about MMA, not to read some fighter bashing.
But great site otherwise.

Rommel you have missed my point because your mad I’m not on the Fedor band wagon.Go back and re read my post again. Fedor beat a guy that has been a pro fighter for less than a year and you go gooo gooo gaaa gaaa over it. Are you serious? Thats the best competitons they can find? Open your eyes and take a look around at the BS they are feed you.

@TheNotoriousJJ I really can’t argue with you here, bottom line at the end of the day it’s a business. Business’s rarely have loyalty to anyone except for their bottom line, not a big deal since that’s part of what makes them a business.

On a side note and nothing that has anything to do with protecting records or fighters, the UFC has shown loyalty to SOME fighters over the years. Still rare, but at least they do it.

you have to keep in mind that when it comes to fans feeling like Fedor is trying to protect his record the only person they are going to generate that hatred towards is Fedor. He’s the one who fights and ultimately he is the one who decides on his own business affairs, he doesn’t want to fight the best.

In regards to Sylvia and Arlovski you probably don’t want to know my opinion about either one of them. Arlovski is a butter chin and Sylvia, honestly I have never taken him serously. Not as a UFC champion and not as the guy getting KO’d by Ray Mercer.

In regards to your response to James, to touch on that if Rogers gave Fedor all that he could handle than let’s just imagine what would happen if Fedor faced someone ranked higher than Rogers or perhaps someone with more experience.

Chances are in the same fashion that you are sick of all the arguments for why Fedor is over rated it’s safe to say that people that think he is over rated are tired of hearing that Fedor beat Arlovski and Sylvia. Hardly enough to change my mind or impress me with Fedor and how highly so many mma fans regard him.
