Fedor Emelianenko not signed by UFC

by James on July 29, 2009 69 views to the Head

Yesterday the L A Times reported  the UFC had signed Fedor. Well it was not true and today Five ounces of pain has reported that  M-1 and UFC are still in negotiation. During the conference call today M-1 also stated the following.

The UFC has made a very good offer to Fedor, but Fedor has other very good offers he can accept at this time.

Fedor and his management have offered a counter-offer. Negotiations are still under way at this time.

The UFC has made a very good offer to Fedor, but Fedor Emelianenko has been in discussion with Strikeforce. He’s still choosing.

M-1 Global expressed that their ultimate desire is to spread the popularity of mixed martial arts around the world.

They are open to any and all negotiations at this time.

M-1 Global has stated that they will work only under co-promotion conditions.

Well what this means is you will never see Fedor in the Octagon. They will only work under co promotion. I believe the UFC can  handle the promotion of a MMA event with out you. This is a bunch of BS! M-1 also stated it not about the money. Again thats BS! They why do you want to co promote? More money if you co promote. M-1 you have lost all respect from me. You don’t care about the fans and what they want to see. If you like Fedor or not, everyone agrees he should be in the UFC fighting in the big show. Everyone write to M-1 global and tell them what a bunch of jackass they are and let Fedor step into the octagon. We the fans can make it happen we all must join together and let our voice be heard. Great point James… M-1 apparently is oblivious to what the FANS want. They state they are not in it for the money, than what is the purpose of continuing their business. It is not for customer fan base, that is for sure, so what else would they be in business for??? They certainly are not a Non-profit company lol.

Idiots… Anyways, Fedor however is all about the fans though. Although he has stated that he is not much of a fan of the UFC in the past, I think Dana’s strong/aggressive CEO approach will eventually win the battle and Fedor will sign.

As for co-promoting, I am not sure why they feel ONE fighter fulfills their companies revenues. UFC is a very primitive company and they are the top dogs in the MMA world. Co-promoting with them might be beneficial for M-1, but what benefit does it bring to the table for UFC besides the supposive “best pound for pound fighter”. The only other thing I could perceive that it would do is bring Unity to the MMA world. But after all, this sport is a BUSINESS. There must be competition and by co-promoting, they are only helping to gear towards a monopoly. This sport is franchising very rapidly and if we want to continue to prosper on this sport and continue to watch it grow, we can’t have rejects like M-1 wanting to hold the hands of the UFC in hopes to prosper their company!

Brendan you said it all when you call them Idiots. The guy who own M-1 witch Fedor is half owner is also his mananger. Thats the problem right there. M-1 has to have the nose in everthing not only to promote Fedor but also M-1. It brings nothing to the table for UFC it only helps M-1. It all BS! Down with M-1

Three articles and I still feel the same at each one of them.

Fedor please retire so that your fans don’t continue to look dumb as shit by chanting how your the best fighter ever.

Please Fedor, game over.

What are Fedor fans going to say now? Fedor has had every chance to step into the octagon and he has chosen not to. That says a lot about a fighter. I have lost all respect for him. Bad move Fedor I think you have lost a lot of fans.
