Countdown to UFC 98

by James on May 18, 2009 181 views to the Head

Thursday May 21, at 11:00 pm on Spike TV is the countdown to UFC 98, Evens vs. Machida. It has been far to long since the last UFC event. Other fight organization are OK, but there is nothing like a good old UFC fight.

I found a couple of video’s on you tube. The first one is on Lyoto Machida and his father’s karate. The second one is a Joe Rogan interview about intelligent fighters. I don’t know about you fight fans but I am so ready to see UFC 98 that I wish it was tonight!

Don’t forget to check out my predictions and read my live results.

Is Joe ever going to shave again?

On to Lyoto Machida vs Rashad Evans, Joe says it the way I also see it. Machida never gets hit, I don’t even remember the last time he was hit and I thought he was in trouble.

Lyoto Machida also seems to be very good at ripping the soul out of his opponents, each round that goes by the competitors soul seems a little more destroyed. Which than leads to the damage setting in and the end.

If Rashad does not find a way to hit Lyoto Machida he will become another victim. There is no way that Rashad will be standing in the fifth round with Machida, if so I will be blown away. If Machida gets out of the first two rounds, Machida wins.

Wow, looks like Joe Rogan is trying to simulate a bleached out Kimbo Slice… lol Anyways though, yeah I am etching and aching each day for UFC 98. It is not very often you see a main bout that features two UNDEFEATED fighters, not to mention, for a belt! I am not sure how this main bout will ravel out, but I think it is going to definitely be one hell of a crowd pleaser! Now lets not leave out the preliminary fight (Matt Serra vs Matt Hughes) before the main bout. We have all had rivals, arch nemesis’s and just plain old enemies throughout our lives and this fight is going to be a prime example! Even though these two have respect for each others fighting styles, once these two get in the ring, all respect will be flushed down the crapper and all hell will most likely rise. This is going to be an exciting fight as well! Fans, I can’t wait and I am sure you all can’t either. So Saturday, hurry up damnit!!!

This fight’s so tough to pick because Rashad’s always underestimated , and Machida is Machida. Joe Rogan’s definately right though, it’s refreshing to see someone fight strategicaly, instead of goin ballz to the wall. As for Serra and Matt Hughes , I hope they both punch each other into retirement.
