UFC 109 Fight Prediction Contest Winner

Ok fight fans, I would like to thank everyone who entered the UFC 109 fight prediction contest. There were 36 total entries  for this UFC contest. There were some great picks  but every thought Randy and Coleman would go the distance. Nate Marquardt getting manhandled like he did was also unexpected and a lot  of people [...]

Brett”The Grim” Rogers: A New Hope

by James on August 29, 2009 291 views to the Head

I was going to title this article Fedor vs Rogers “Who Cares,” but That would’ve disrespect Rogers. I did not want to do that because I like Rogers, how can you not like a guy with a mohawk?

Rogers is the new hope to dethrone the UFC ducking, overrated, can’t believe he is ranked number one in the world, Fedor Emelianenko. If Rogers beats Fedor all hell will break lose in the MMA world. Fedor lovers will crawl out of the wood work with a thousand excuses why he lost. Finally, he will taken down as the #1 ranked Heavyweight. I do not know who should be ranked #1 but I know it sure is not Fedor. He should be fighting someone higher up, but Fedor is a jackass that won’t sign with the UFC. I think Frank Mir would destroy Fedor. The ranking system is all screwed up and needs to be changed. You can’t fight the #9 ranked fighter and still be called #1 that’s is just crazy.

Brett Rogers has an impressive record of 10-0-0 and is ranked #9 in the world. Almost all his fight have ended in the first round. No one really knows if Rogers has a ground game, because he has never been to the ground. I hope he knocks Fedor’s head off and leaves it rolling around in the ring. That would shut up all the Fedor lovers out there.

I said, I would never write another article on Fedor, but I really am writing about Rogers, but Fedor just pisses me off. So, if you missed some past articles, here are the links to some great reading on the Fedor subject. Fedor: Not the people’s champion, Strikeforce and Fedor can shove it: Fedor the world ducking champion. Now before you Fedor lovers get all wound up with all your excuses about why he didn’t sign with the UFC , you better have done you home work because I have. Don’t even start with M-1 contract stopped him from signing with the UFC. That’s a huge load of BS. Fedor said it himself  he has the final word, not M-1. Even other fighters are saying Fedor is ducking the UFC and not fighting the best. I’m sorry if you hero turnouts to be The World Ducking Champion.

Are you trying to have as big of a target on your back as the one I walk around with every day?

Now with that said I couldn’t have said it any better, but I can have the first and best comment that ends with just the right statement.

Fuck Fedor.

Well, I wouldn’t go so far as you have with your criticisms of Fedor, but I do believe that a true champion ought to fight top-rated talent to maintain a legitimate claim to the top spot.

Rogers is in a win-win situation here; either he loses a fight that no one expects him to win, or he shocks the world and takes out the mighty Fedor. Either way, he’s going to get a ton of publicity.

Frankly, I really like Rogers and I hope he does beat Fedor. I think he’s got a bright future.

What a pathetic article, so biased and untrue – especially in light of the outcome of that fight.

The sad fact is that even if Fedor beats up everybody in the UFC – and kicks the ass of the author of this crappy piece of writing – there will still be people who would not agree he is the No. 1 heavyweight in the world… but who cares about their opinion, anyway? :yapyap:

FACT: Fedor run to Strikeforce to fight inferior oppenents so he could keep his record and #1 ranking. M-1 want to keep it’s cash cow winning at all cost. Thats why Fedor is not in the UFC and will never be in the UFC. NEVER. Get off the Fedor band wagon and open your eyes. Don’t believe the crap M-1 is selling you. M-1 is full of Bull shit
