Acorrding to Heavy.com. Rumor has it that Demain Maia will replace injured Vitor Belfort at UFC 112. Report started coming out a few day ago that Vitor Belfort was pulling out of his title fight against Anderson Silva because of a bad shoulder injury. Of course the first thing everyone thought was could Chael Sonnen heal and be ready for Anderson by April 10.
The UFC never disappoints Maia vs Silva is a fight I haven’t even thought of. I would love to see Chael Sonnen step in and fight Anderson Silva but if they can’t make it happen. Maia would make a good replacement? Ok now it’s your turn. leave a comment and tell me who would you like to see fight Anderson Silva?

MMA Punk, I’d love to see Sonnen take on Silva sooner than later. But I hope the UFC is smart enough to let him heal a bit first. I think Maia vs. Silva would be OK. I always worry when Silva fights, because he really needs to be put up against people who will come right at him. Griffin was a good choice, but he blew it and embarassed himself. That’s why I was looking forward to Belfort. My vote is to push the fight back a month or two.

I would honestly rather see Sonnen heal up and fight Silva, he was already running his mouth about him and I don’t see Sonnen being concerned at all about fighting Silva. I think if Silva plays his cards right he will make quick work of Maia, just my two cents.

how can u say maia is overrated and not the right guy to fight silva.you cant put sonnen in front of maia cuz maia beat him.so just sit back and watch a good fight,and if maia loses than ya boi sonnen can step up and lose.whats it matter if sonnen fights him first his still gonna lose lol.silva just needs to keep fighting lhw till they build up the mw contenders,and i think maia should drop down and fight guys his size cuz he looks small in there lol

This could shape up to be an excellent fight Maia won’t try to strike with anderson at all and we will see if Silva has improved on his ground game at all should be a good test for silva….now I’m not say’n maia is gonna win but he could defenatly pull off an upset…..I want to see Pat Cote get a rematch!!

Silva has a ground game? I havn’t seen anyone get him to the ground. If Maia tries to get Silva to the ground he will catch knees or or not even catch Silva at all. I think its crazy to think anderson can be taken anywhere he doesnt want the fight to go. He will dictate were the fight takes place not Maia. Maia will have to fight Andersons fight, Unless Anderson slips on a marbel he will make Maia stand.I believe if they fight Silva should come to the ring with WWE owners vinces song…. NO CHANCE.. You know you love maia man. I heard from a couple of my sources that you were all about the Submission machine. I heard you were taking Maia 1st rnd subm.
