Well fight fans here we go! Affliction Trilogy features Fedor vs Barnett live from the Honda Center in Anaheim Ca. on August 1 ,2009 at 10:00 on PPV. Sponsored by Go Daddy.com and the under card with be shown on HDnet.
This fight card has had some ups and downs with Tim Sylvia not being cleared to fight and Andre not getting resigned to Affliction because of his losses. However, I am very excited to see Vitor Belfort back in action. I can’t wait to see the Fedor vs Barnett fight just like a lot of other people.
Can Fedor be beat? Does Barnett have the skills to take down the worlds best pound for pound heavyweight fighter? We shall see.
Fedor Emelianenko vs Josh Bernett
This is the fight everyone want to see. Can Barnett beat Fedor? A lot of people think Barnett is going to get crushed in this fight. I think Barnett has the skills to beat Fedor but he can’t make mistakes. You make mistake with Fedor or it’s lights out. I am going to pick the underdog in this fight because I would like to see Fedor beaten. My buddy extremejohn wrote a nice blog asking Josh Barnett to please KO Fedor, make sure you read it.

Renato Sobral vs Gegard Mousasi
This is going to be great fight. On there feet or on the ground this is going to be war. Sobral have really looked good in his last couple of fights. I just don’t think that this is Mousasi’s time to shine. It’s going to be a great fight, but Sobral wins in the end.

Vitor Belfort vs Jorge Santiago
I can’t wait to see Vitor fight. I would like to give Jorge a chance but I can’t ,Vitor all the way. I haven’t seen Vitor fight in a long time I hope he is still exciting and Vitor of old.

Gilbert Yvel vs Paul Buentello
Another great battle in the making. I am torn with this pick. I like both of these guys and it could go either way. Gilbert was a replacement for Tim Sylvia who got knocked out in 8 seconds in his last fight and was not cleared to fight on this card.

I don’t think Oloveira has the skills to take down Gomi. I could be wrong but I think Gomi is going to dominate Oliveira.

Haha James thanks for including my Fedor rant, I guess I should probably beef up my security a little bit.
I like your picks bro, Buenetello looked excellent in his last fight, I like that pick too. I hope Barnett stays smart in his fight with Fedor, if not we know how that story goes.
