MMA Weekly and Five Ounce sOf Pain have both reported that Affliction Trilogy has been canceled. John Barnett testing positive for steroids and pulled from the the card was most likely a huge part in this decision.It is offical Affliction release a statment this afternoon.
I would rather see the fight canceled then see Fedor fight anyone but Barnett. I think it would cheapen his already questionable image. Fedor needs to fight the best to stay #1. Fighting Belfort or Rogers is something the fans don’t want to see. This fight has been something the fans have wanted for a long time. It’s terrible that the fight has to end this way. Josh just lost a lot of fans and credibility.
Is this the last of Affliction? Or do they just need to regroup and rethink how to put this fight back together. How are the fighter going to respond to this news? These guys have trained hard for this and need to be paid.

I was really looking forward to this fight and the rest of the card! Affliction must have been on very dodgy ground financially for this to make them fold. The only good news is we might seen Fedor in the UFC some time soon, along with Belfort.
